Old ladies together.
Let's become little old ladies together - we'll stay up late looking at old pictures, telling "remember when" stories, and laughing till our sides ache. Let's become eccentric together - the kind of old ladies who take long walks, wear silly hats, and get away with acting outrageous in public places. And if anybody should ask how long we've been friends, we'll say, "Oh, forever - since before you were even born!" Let's become little old ladies together- because a friendship that's as special as ours can only grow better through the years.
Just love him.
You might not be his first, his last, or his only. He's cared about someone else before and possibly will again, but if he cares for you now, what else matters? He's not perfect and you aren't either. and the two of you will never be perfect, but if he can make you laugh at least once, hold onto him and give him the most you can. He is probably not going to quote poetry, he might not be thinking about you every second of the day, but he will give you a part of him that he knows you can break. So don't hurt him, don't change him and don't expect more than he can give. Don't over analyze. Smile when he makes you happy, yell when he makes you mad, and miss him when he's not there.
Let's talk about perfect people.
So you wanna be perfect? - Well let me tell you something about perfection. Perfect people always smile. Perfect people don’t step in dog doo. Perfect people never have their cars brake down. Perfect people find a perfect husband or wife and live happily in perfection. They never get stains on their clothing. They have never done anything embarrassing. They have perfect grades and perfect friends and perfect jobs. They end up in perfect houses surrounded by perfect white picket fences. Perfect people don’t make mistakes. Perfect people never learn from pain and cry. Perfect people don’t take the risks that are worth taking. Perfect people never experience the feelings you have when you're in love, when you've been scraped, when you've been heartbroken. Well, it sounds like the perfect life is the worst because perfect people never lived.
Just love her.
You may not be her first, her last or her only. She loved before, she may love again. But if she loves you now, what else matters? She's not perfect - you aren't either, and the two of you may never be perfect together but if she can make you laugh, cause you think twice, and admit to being a human and making mistakes, hold onto her and give her the most you can. She may not be thinking about you every second of the day, but she will give you a piece of her that she knows you can break - her heart. So don't hurt her, don't change her, don't analyze and don't expect more than she can give. Smile when she makes you happy, let her know when she makes you mad, and miss her when she's not there.
Your best friend is the one who's laughed with you, cried with you, and despaired with you. Your best friend is the one who loves and accepts all the strange or quirky things about you. Your best friend is the one who's shirts are stained with mascara from your tears. Your best friend is the one who can look at you and have a whole conversation without moving their mouth once. Your best friend is the one who's seen you at your worst, and said you were the best. Your best friend is the one who fought for and defended you - even when they knew you were wrong. Your best friend is the one who can honestly say "I love you." and not think twice about how it was taken. Your best friend is the one who crashes on your couch at four in the morning. Your best friend is the one who kicked you in the ass and straightened you out when you were about to make a big mistake. Your best friend is the one who knows you inside out. Your best friend is the one who never has to ask - they already know the answer. Your best friend is the one with whom you can't play twenty questions because they already know the answer to every question. Your best friend is the one who fought with you, missed you, and made up with you after many bitter exchanges were made. Your best friend is the one who stood by your side when you were having a hard time, and always forgave you for being a bitch. Your best friend is the one who doesn't expect an apology but deserves one. Your best friend is the one who covered for you to keep you out of serious trouble. Your best friend is the one who never judged you for what you had done, never called you a dirty name because you had been less than good. Your best friend is the one who is your main partner in crime. Your best friend is the one who will always need you and miss you in times of need when you can't be there, but knows you would be if it was possible. Your best friend is the one who you may need most, who will always seek your company, but will push you away to avoid pulling you down with them when they know they can't win.
